Horowhenua Intalls Smart Water System

March 16, 2018

The Horowhenua District Council is installing a new water pressure management system that will improve the district's water supply network.

The system is part of the Council’s water demand management plan to have an efficient water system for the district.

Horowhenua District Council Water Service Engineer Albert Hoffman says that the new system will make the water supply network ‘smart’.

The system will be able to detect if there are any issues with the water supply network and will decrease the chance of any future leakages and reduce the loss of water wastage.

Hoffman says that the system will benefit locals by delivering a reliable water supply network with less network-complaints.
