Nikau Foundation Supports Kapiti

March 22, 2018

The Nikau Foundation is pleased to announce their commitment to supporting youth organisations in Kapiti through their 2018 grants and sponsorship programme.

The Community Foundation and its Nikau Kapiti Fund has long supported youth charities in the district with over $50,000 committed in grants since 2011.

Nikau Foundation is a funding manager for The Tindall Foundation in the Wellington Region and organisations like Youth Quest (now part of KYS) have previously benefitted from their youth funding stream.

This is set to continue this year through a range of support, including Nikau’s sponsorship of this year’s Kāpiti Run for Youth held on Sunday 25th March.

Nikau Foundation Deputy Chair, Liz Koh, says “the support of charities working in the youth space will continue as a special focus for our Kāpiti granting.

Everyone can make a contribution – through participation in these types of events or donating to support the participants.”

Nikau Foundation’s formal grant round will open in August this year with grants of up to $5,000 paid out in December for successful applicants.

Liz says “We look forward to hearing from any charity working to benefit youth by way of application on our website at www.nikaufoundation.org.nz by the 31st August .
