The excitement is building for the rugby clash between the Super Rugby wider squads of the Hurricanes and Japan’s Sunwolves at Levin Domain later this month.
The Sunwolves are bringing their full Super Rugby squad to New Zealand, so they are expected to field a side that will be pretty close to a Japan ‘A’ team.
The two sides play on Thursday 26 April in Levin, ahead of the main event between the Hurricanes and Sunwolves the following evening at Westpac Stadium.
Horowhenua Kapiti Rugby Union Chief Executive Officer, Corey Kennett, says “there will be several Hurricanes players who have had limited minutes this season, or are returning from injury, who will be targeting this game” for their comeback.
The match is part of the 125th Anniversary celebrations for the Horowhenua Kapiti Rugby Union.
