Kapiti Old Boy Bows Out

Former Paraparaumu College student Zac Millar has bowed out of the Commonwealth Games.

 

He and is partner Amanda Landers-Murphy lost to an Indian team in the Squash Mixed Doubles yesterday, finishing 9th in the competition.

 

They lost their match 2-1, in the second round of 16 teams.

 

Zac was stoic in defeat, posting on Facebook that “it wasn’t meant to be today”.

 

He thanked everyone who had helped and supported him along the way.

 

New Zealand are currently 6th on the medals table with 31 - 10 golds, 12 silvers and 9 bronze.

 

Australia are first, ahead of England and India.
