Sanitary Campaign in Horowhenua

May 30, 2018

The period poverty campaign initiated by a Kapiti woman is spreading to Horowhenua.

NZ Herald reports that Kapiti resident Ange Murch’s campaign to support women needing financial support for sanitary products, is making its way to Horowhenua.

Murch sells reusable menstrual cups for $5 with all the proceeds going towards women who are struggling to afford sanitary items.

The menstrual cups are currently being sold in Kapiti and has been successful.

Murch says, "by purchasing a cup from me and/or donating one, you are helping a girl or woman in need.”

Murch started the campaign after a friend complained about how expensive it was to buy sanitary items.
