New Electra Director Appointed

June 12, 2018

One of New Zealand’s most experienced leaders has been appointed as one of the six Directors of Electra Limited, the Kapiti-Horowhenua consumer-owned power distribution company.

Mike Underhill, formerly the chief executive of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority, succeeds Russell Longuet who retires next month. The appointment has been made by the Electra Trust, owners of Electra Limited on behalf of 45,000 consumers, and Trust chair Sharon Crosbie says Mr Underhill’s business and governance experience at all levels will add strength to the Electra Board.

Ms Crosbie says the Electra Trust was heartened d by the high calibre of applicants and Mr Underhill will take up his position after the Electra Trust AGM in Levin on 27 July.
