Student Interest in Police Course

January 31, 2019

Kapiti College Principal Tony Kane says there’s been a positive response to the school introducing a Police Studies course.

Mr Kane says the college has received plenty of interest from current Year 13 students wanting to enroll in the programme, despite it being in the late stages of their curriculum process.

He says 10it’s a really promising course.

While the Police and the three schools involved will attend an official launch tomorrow, Mr Kane says the course is already underway at Kapiti College with a class of 25 Year-13 students

The police studies course is one of the 5 core NCEA subjects for the students, which is made of about 50% theory and 50% active training.
